This is a US society founded by (American) graduates of the German Wine Academy in Geisenheim. The group aims to promote German wine through education and with regular tastings. The society currently has seven 'chapters' spread around America.

Verband Deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüter e.V.The (registered) club of wineries with distinction and quality wineries is a strong German wine organisation with around 200 member wineries that produce wines to a set of strict rules that detail requirements for each step of wine growing and production. The member wineries display the VDP logo (Eagle with grapes) on the wine capsule to signify the quality. Each of the major wine growing areas has its local VDP branch.
